Fish Migration Paddle Parade Craft Night

Join us for a night of crafts, snacks, and fun as we get ready for our 4th Annual Fish Migration Paddle-Parade!

Color a paper fish, make a fish hat to wear to the event, work on another project for the event, or participate in our community craft! Check out last years community craft- a giant fish with paper plate scales colored by community members!

Stop by to help us make this year’s community craft- a diverse painting of tightly packed herring to symbolize the abundance of herring that once lived in the Blackstone. “Walking on the Backs of Fish” is a reference to historical accounts of herring populations that lived in the Blackstone River hundreds of years ago- and an aspirational representation of our hope to restore herring populations in the future.

There is no hard start to this event - drop in as you like. And join us on the water for the parade on May 16th, 2026!

Collaborative staff will also be on site to share information about our ongoing Mish(kittacuck)sepe Restored project - creating a vision plan for the next generation of the Blackstone River. Learn more and share with us what's important to you and help shape the final projects to improve public access, river flow, and ecological connectivity.
