Join us for Yoga by the river at Riverbend Farm!
Join us for an 60-minute outdoor Vinyasa yoga practice by the Blackstone canal at Riverbend Farm with licensed instructor, Collaborative Board President, and Narragansett Bay Riverkeeper, Kate McPherson. This class is suitable for all ability levels.
Riverbend Farm is a historic and scenic piece of land that tells the story of the Blackstone canal- an important historic transportation resource that shaped the region in the early 1800s. Riverbend Farm preserves this history and features fields, open pastures, stone walls, and preserved historical sites that bear witness to a farming past in a valley that witnessed the birth of an industrial revolution.
Kate has years of experience practicing yoga and is a certified yoga instructor. She has completed Prana Flow Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 and crafts classes that are suitable for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
Collaborative staff will also be on site to share information about our ongoing Kittacuck Restored project - creating a vision plan for the next generation of the Blackstone River. Learn more and share with us what's important to you and help shape the final projects to improve public access, river flow, and ecological connectivity.
Please bring your own yoga mat or towel and clothes you can comfortably move in.
Registration is required. Please check back for more information.
