BRC Water Quality Summit & Watershed Based Plan Public Kick Off

  • Singh Performance Center 60 Douglas Rd, Whitinsville, MA 01588 (map)

Join us at the annual Blackstone River Coalition’s Water Quality Monitoring Summit and Volunteer Recognition Day! This year, we’re also kicking off the planning process to create a new 9-Element Watershed Based Plan for the Blackstone River!

Learn what a watershed based plan is and how the critical data from the BRC’s water quality monitoring program will inform the analysis to identify knowledge gaps, characterize watershed conditions and sources of pollution, establish water quality goals, and develop a plan to implement improvements that benefit all 29 municipalities in MA - as well as those downstream.

Explore how this plan could help your community and share your thoughts on known pollutant sources, what’s already planned or happening to improve conditions, priorities of best practices, challenges and barriers you see, and other thoughts to inform this plan. We want to hear from you!

Lunch will be provided.
