Source to Sea Paddle 2026

Join our 4th Annual Source to Sea Paddle & River Celebration!

A small group of partners will be traveling down the Blackstone River from Worcester to Providence on our annual Source-to-Sea paddle this year from September 10-13 to explore river conditions and bring awareness to the need to improve river access and restoration.

On the last day, Sunday, 9/13, we will host our 4th annual free public paddle during the final leg of the journey from Pawtucket’s Festival Pier to Providence’s Gano Street, followed by a celebration at Narragansett Brewing with music, free food and drinks.

Note - waivers are reqiured for all participants and should be uploaded as part of registration or emailed to Caleigh (caleigh@blackstonecollaborative.org).

Timeline:

11:10-11:45 - If bringing your own boat, drop it off at Festival Pier (start) and then park at the end near Gano St.

11:30-11:45 - All participants, park your car near the brewery/Gano Street at the end of the paddle.

Please note: parking is limited at the Brewery. You may also find street parking, use Gano Boat Launch parking, or use the shopping center lot at 141 Pitman St, Providence, RI 02906. A shuttle will be provided from the Brewery (271 Tockwotton St, Providence, RI 02903) to the start at Festival Pier.

12:00 & 12:15 - Shuttles will leave to take you from Narragansett Brewing to the paddle start at Festival Pier - please walk from your parking spot to the brewery to get checked in and board the shuttle.

12:45 - All participants arrive to Festival Pier (start) to get their pfds and paddles (and some snacks!), go through a safety talk, and start getting in the water

1:30 - We’re off! By this time, all paddlers will be in the water. The floatilla will begin from Festival Pier and paddle with the tide approximately 4 miles to Gano Street

3:30 - All paddlers will arrive at Gano Street, load up their boats, and walk the .25 miles along a pedestrian path to get to the brewery to enjoy a complimentary drink, food, and live music! All are welcome.
