Working together
The Blackstone Watershed Collaborative is one of over 50 RCPs across New England - each working across its own subregion to advance shared, strategic, long-term conservation and restoration priorities. Together, these partnerships cover over 60% of the Northeast, helping to increase the pace and scale of land and water protection and stewardship. The RCP Network offers an opportunity for each of these organizations to work together and learn from one another through resources, peer to peer learning, and hosting an annual conference in Massachusetts each November.
Massachusetts began the Regional Restoration Partnerships Program in 2021 to help build the capacity of regional organizations and regional planning agencies who work with municipalities and other local partners to lead and support watershed-scale ecological restoration within their regions. The Blackstone Watershed Collaborative was designated in 2026 and the state's investment over the next 5-10 years will help empower partners to restore rivers and wetlands and help people and nature adapt to climate change.
