Join us in celebrating the 50th anniversary of ZAP the Blackstone in 2022!

“Operation ZAP” was the largest hands-on environmental activation of citizens in the US.

On September 9, 1972, thousands of volunteers cleaned up the Blackstone River, removing 10,000 tons of trash and debris - from cars and appliances to municipal trash and rotten wood - starting the healing from 150 years of pollution.

This year, we’re celebrate the 50th anniversary of these legendary efforts - how far we’ve come and how you can help us move forward!

Every third Saturday from April- July leading up to the clean up/green up & celebration, we’ll be promoting or hosting events throughout the watershed. Check out our events page for more info!
